Fireworks are allowed in the state of Iowa from 9 AM to 10 PM June 1st through July 8th and December 10th through January 3rd. Hours are extended to 11 PM on July 4th and the weekends immediately preceding and following July 4th.

No permit is needed if you intend to shoot them off during this time frame.
